CYCLE 1 : FIRST LEARNING CYCLE

Preschool (PS), Kindergarten (MS), and Early Primary (GS)

At EFIK, children can be enrolled in kindergarten starting at the age of 2 years.

For children aged 2 to 3, we provide the option of half-day preschool sessions (from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.) instead of full days (from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.) if parents wish to gradually introduce their children to the school system.

The initial years of education establish the foundational educational and pedagogical principles upon which students’ learning is built and developed throughout their academic journey.

Components and Skills of the Common Core :

Domain 1: Mobilizing Language in All Its Dimensions

  • Discovering the function of writing.

  • Beginning to produce written texts and understanding their functioning.

  • Acting in space, over time, and with objects.

  • Adapting balance and movement to various environments or constraints.

  • Communicating with others through actions with expressive or artistic intent.

  • Collaborating, cooperating, and opposing.

Domain 3: Acting, expressing, and understanding through artistic activities
  • Developing a taste for artistic practices.

  • Discovering different forms of artistic expression.

  • Experiencing and expressing emotions, making choices.

Domain 4: Acquiring the First Mathematical Tools
  • Discovering numbers and their uses.

  • Exploring shapes, sizes, and organized sequences.

Domain 5: Exploring the World

  • Exploring the world of living things, objects, and matter.

YOUNG STUDENTS’ NEED FOR EXPLORATION FOR DISCOVERY, MANIPULATION, EXPERIMENTATION, PLAY AND EXCHANGES IS STIMULATED THROUGHOUT THE KINDERGARTEN YEARS TO LEAD THEM TOWARDS THE PROGRESSIVE MASTERY OF NEW SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE.
