Eight families and two teachers created International French School of Kathmandu in 1987. First located in Gairidhara, the school was called “Badaboum” after the sound that building blocs make when falling. Originally opened as a kindergarten, the teaching focused on Arts, theatre, yoga and cooking as well as foreign languages. In 1990, the school opened its first primary classes. The school then moved to its current premises in Lazimpat, a quiet and green location, far from road traffic, where it continues to grow !
